GOP Reeling From Midterm Beat Down

In 2010 Obama famously admitted: “We got shellacked” during a White House press conference the day after the 2010 midterm elections, when Republicans won control of the House of Representatives.

The 2010 Republicans picked up at  60 House seats in the biggest shift in power since Democrats gained 75 House seats in 1948.

The Republicans may have one-upped Obama this past Tuesday. They not only got shellacked but were whacked, smacked and thwacked “from California to the New York island, from the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters.”

This election may not be as bad, but the losers must feel like the Cumberland College Bulldogs who lost 222–0 in 1916 to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets for the highest and most one-sided score in the history of college football.

The totals aren’t all in yet, but as they say on the radio here’s a partial score: As of 4:26 PM ET Nov. 5: Democrats had won 238 and Republicans 146 of the 435 U.S. House races. 51 remain uncalled (10 previously held by Democrats, 41 by Republicans). 35 changed party control (34 to Democrats, 1 to Republicans). It could get even worse for the GOP when the final tally comes in.

Florida is an island surrounded by vicious sea creatures with sharp teeth. Refugees from California, New York , Illinois, etc., will be flocking to reach the state line. These are the same people who destroyed their states, so my gut feeling is to hold off on opening the door if possible. Just tell them We’re currently full and we’ll have our people call their people when room becomes available.

The only way to get out of Florida is to worm your away through a narrow opening  in Alabama, starting in Mobile But where do you go from there that’s safe from these people?

Don’t think the Democrats be gracious in their victories. They are no more likeable winners than they were loveable losers.

Based on interviews I’ve seen on TV and heard on the radio they’re eager for revenge.

They’re already busily sharpening their guillotine blades. Just listen to Michigan’s new Senator Abdul El Sayed, who sounds and appears like the cackling evil, crazed movie doctor who is getting ready to unleash his demons on his naïve unsuspecting supporters outside his fortress laboratory.

Despite winning they’re filled with radicalized fury, dishonesty, hysteria and hate along with venomous attitudes that anyone that disagrees with them must be silenced, vilified, punished, and destroyed professionally or financially, and ideally both.

Instead of being giddy and cheerful, they remain infantile and coercive in their winning enthusiasms.

For example, Megan Romer, co-chair of the Democrat Socialists and a gal who appears to have taken up eating as a pastime while Democrats were out of power, spewed her enthusiasm in an interview with Fox News.

Romer stood by her positions to abolish the Senate, replace the presidency and Supreme Court, and to eradicate Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She also defended wanting to abolish borders and grant amnesty to illegal immigrants in the United States.

She also wants to abolish prisons and the police despite the U.S. having the lowest rime rate in 125 years.

She scoffed that providing healthcare to everyone is untenable due to costs saying: “We do agree that it will cost money to provide healthcare to everyone, but it will cost less money than we spend on the military and on these illegal wars right now,” she claims. She dismisses the $49 trillion cost estimate for socialist policies as a “made-up number”.

This 21st Century Madame Defarge IS the Democrat mob since she does not consider or stop to think that any of her party’s actions may be unjust or flat-out nuts. This cross between Eva Braun and Marie Laveau has prepared her hit list of enemies condemned to execution by the guillotine and is gleefully awaiting the day it’s rolled into the town square.

Once these whack-a-doodles are in place they should be offered a free trip and stay to Cuba, one of their socialist paradises, where there is a 90% poverty rate or France which is on fire and filled with rioters.

One of the reasonable Democrats is Hakeem Jefferies who actually said he could work with President Trump. It’s the most reasonable thing I’ve ever heard from this man, the Black version the Frankenstein monster, ever say.

Other Democrats want to cancel all student debt, tear down the borders, give amnesty to all illegals already here and give everybody a pony.

On the other hand, the extreme left is already resembling members of Stalin and Mao’s rabid supporters and are hoping they’ll be either camp commanders or selected for the firing squads.

On a brighter note the markets have been up and oil prices dropping as the markets like gridlock.

  • Republicans CAN celebrate some wins :
    Byron Donalds won 👍
    Angie Nixon lost 👊
    and Amendment 3 passed ✅

  • To piggy back on CoCoNUT Harry, Republican backed policies were adopted. Four states , Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska and Washington), passed restrictions on transgender athletes participating in school sports. Three states, (Nevada, North Carolina, and Ohio), passed Voter ID measures. Then five states, (Alaska, Kansas, South Dakota, Arkansas and West Virginia), passed measures explicitly establishing that only U.S. citizens may vote in state and local elections. In addition, Arizona now restricts students, athletes and employees from using the bathrooms, locker rooms, etc. in schools facilities that do not line with the biological sex recorded on a person’s original birth certificate.
Interesting……….red policies being adopted and red candidates being rebuked.

  • It is my belief that so many Republicans lost on November 3rd. due to three things: 1) The rebuke of President Trump promising “No more wars” as the Ukraine vs. Russia dragged on for five years and the Iran Conflict. This began under Biden but the cost to America continued under Trump when he kicked off the Iranian Conflict. If he had not started pre-election the outcome would have been much different. 2) The Republicans candidates in many federal and state races were weak candidates that voters did not support due to association with Trump. 3) The younger voters drinking the Kool-Aid from The Democratic Socialist Group and Muslims promising “free” everything. As most of us from The Silent Generation and Baby Boomer Generation know, promises of free is never free. Somebody has to pay the bills but the later born of Gen. X, Gen. Y, and Gen. Z do not understand this and want someone else to provide everything without having to work to pay. Now we as a nation will suffer for years as X, Y, and Z figure out they were handed a false belief. The ones that will really be harmed is Gen. Alpha and Gen. Beta who now are being and will be influenced by the ones in charge before discovering the truth. If Republicans ever regain control it will be after the Silents and Boomers are mostly gone and this Once Great Nation has become another France. Turns out The Polish People had the right ideal all all along.

  • It is amazing that people will depart from states that are hardly recognizable as having a republican form of government (a Constitutional requirement) and, in disgust, move to better run states where they continue to vote in the same manner that caused the problems in their former states. The accepted sign of insanity is to continually do the same thing but expect a different result. The Republican party’s problem is that they promise to fix the problems if only they are put back in power, then don’t. How many bureaucratic crooks were put in prison? None that I know of. Just a lot of talk in congress, in front of the cameras, but no real action. It doesn’t take long before you quit drinking the Kool-aid from both parties. It would be nice if our representatives would actually talk to the common people they represent and not get their advise from the power brokers.
