Unlike The ’62 Mets Today’s Democrats Ain’t Lovable!

The 2026 Democrat Party and the 1962 New York Mets have much in common.

The 1962 Mets were one of the worst major league baseball teams in modern history, going 40-120 finishing 60.5 games behind the National League Champion San Francisco Giants

The 1962 Mets were bad …. really, really bad. Their pitchers allowed 948 runs, which were the most in the majors that season. The leading hitter on the team was Felix Mantilla, who hit a miserly .275. Craig Anderson was their top reliever with four saves.

They were deemed worthy of sympathy and an earned an endearing underdog label of  “loveable losers”. They were an escape from the cross-town Yankee pinstripes of Evil Yankees and attracted adoring fans.

Unlike the ’62 Mets, however, there is absolutely nothing likable, much less loveable, about today’s Democrats, unless you are a card-carrying member of the Communist Party or a member of the ruling elite in Iran, China, North Korea, Russia, or another country craving to gloat over any American misstep.

It’s impossible to generate an iota of sympathy for today’s Democrats. There is nothing endearing about their radical fury, dishonesty, hysteria, and invective. They sincerely believe that anyone disagreeing with them must be silenced, punished, and destroyed professionally and financially.

Despite being unable to identify a single country where socialism has proven successful, the Democrats continue on their suicidal tilt toward socialist government. Perhaps they should have visited their socialist pals in Venezuela for dinner just a couple of years ago where they would have dined with other locals on the only meat left in that ruined economy, zoo animals.

The Democrats starting lineup going into 2028 looks like a gallery of minor league rejects and major league has-beens: Bernie Sanders, Zohran Mamdani, Ro Khanna, Gavin Newsome, Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, etc., not a single All-Star in that pathetic lineup. These are all pop-up, strike-out, sure-out at-bats. Not a single home run hitter among them.

Today’s Democrats are about gender transition (e.g. mutilation) for children, open borders, abortion up until birth, Medicare for all, abolishing police and ICE, more taxation, opposition to anything supported by Israel and much more such insanity.

I‘ve never heard one of them express any affinity for America. Instead, they publicly associate themselves with people like Hasan Piker, an evil demagogue who says the United Sates deserved the horrific terrorist attacks of 9/11. Piker also said that he supports the sadists of Hamas over Israel and doesn’t care if  “Hamas committed rapes, in addition to mass murder on October 7, 2023”.

Piker is a close pal of Democrat Michigan senatorial candidate Abul El Sayed, the son of a pair of Egyptian immigrants. If elected he would be the first Muslim in the Senate. This loony toon advocates sharia law and wants to cut off all aid to Israel. Both Piker and El Sayed are rabid antisemites who are irrational and punitive in their hatred for America and Israel. Labeling this duo evil is a mild understatement.

Just how far will this Democrat Party, filled with human depravity, push the envelope before some sane party members holler: “Enough!”

It took long enough, but Maine’s Democrats finally dumped the morally handicapped Graham Platner. Maine’s Democrats were just fine with this wretched cretin until he started gaining national media attention for his Nazi concentration camp tattoo; calling rural, white Americans ‘stupid’ and “racist”; mocking a wounded American soldier saying “he didn’t deserve to live”; cheating on his wife; saying rape victims need to take some responsibility; claiming black people don’t tip; telling a teenage girl who attempted suicide that she “didn’t try hard enough”; having a profile on a site known for child predators, being openly anti-police and pro-communist, etc.

The Democrats were perfectly happy with all that putrid baggage until it started getting too much attention, even in the liberal media.

Unlike Manager Casey Stengel’s ’62 Mets this Democrat crowd of horrific wack-a-doodles can call a halt to their lunacy any time and throw out the garbage. The Democrats halting hesitancy to toss their vile candidates off the roster says a lot about who they are… anti-American haters and losers.

A Tattoo? Not On Our Dime! Florida became the first state to impose sweeping new limits on how welfare cash can be spent, blocking recipients from using cash-assistance benefits loaded onto EBT cards for purchases like tattoos, theme park tickets, video games, vaping products and other items not generally considered ‘basic needs’ under a plan the Trump administration is urging other states to emulate.

Florida’s cash-assistance program, known as Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA), is funded through the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. It is separate from SNAP, the food-assistance program, though families may receive both types of benefits through separate balances on the same EBT card.

The Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families (ACF) determined Florida’s updated TANF plan to be complete Thursday in a letter sent to Gov. Ron DeSantis and obtained by Fox News Digital. The letter praised the Sunshine State governor for putting ‘common-sense restrictions’ on what it calls inappropriate, luxury and non-essential purchases.

The governor’s press release announcing the change also cites ‘Psychic and fortune-telling services’ among those purchases that will be prohibited.

Quote Worth Repeating: “If we ran Amazon the way New York City runs their school system, packages would take six weeks to arrive, we’d charge you a $100 delivery fee and when the package did finally arrive, it would have the wrong item.” – Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

Another Repeatable Quote: Asked if he was confident that Iran was going to give up its nuclear ambitions Republican Louisiana Senator John Kennedy said: “Unless you were homeschooled by a day drinker no one’s confident that Iran is going to do anything.”

  • I have a new must-watch politician Javier Milei, a socialism buster from Argentina; even the Argentinians have had enough……………………..
+ Achieved Argentina’s first fiscal surplus in over a decade, implementing aggressive spending cuts and eliminating several subsidies.

+ Reduced monthly inflation from triple‑digit annualized levels, with official data showing a sharp deceleration compared to pre‑inauguration trends.

+ Deregulated large portions of the economy through his sweeping DNU 70/2023 and the subsequent Ley Bases, targeting labor rules, price controls, and state intervention.

+ Advanced privatization plans for state‑owned companies, including initial steps toward restructuring or selling entities like Aerolíneas Argentinas and public media organizations.

+ Strengthened Argentina’s foreign policy alignment with the U.S. and Israel, while withdrawing from BRICS and pursuing deeper ties with Western markets and security partners.

  • Regarding amazon.com and Jeff Bezos – why not just give him our USPS ? I’d wager postal prices for stamps & packages would come down, delivery times would get better, and postal employees would be able to make more money … and be happier at their jobs. We would just have to hope he takes us up on the deal. Burp 🍺

  • The more I talk with friends in other states, the more I appreciate the way Florida is being led. Maybe not perfect, but still the best.

  • When I lived in New Orleans–30 years ago–I used to buy all my groceries at a 50% discount. I would go behind the E&P grocery store on Magazine Street in the Garden District where I lived, and there I could trade cash for food stamps at $0.50 to the Dollar. That because LA food stamps didn’t allow buying alcohol and cigarettes.

It was great! I had cash and I could double it for groceries! Is it wrong? Well . . . when you see congress spend $1M to see how shrimp perform on a treadmill underwater, it make everything right. . . doesn’t it?
